Meredith Sawyer believes that a lawyer’s first job is to listen carefully to her clients. Careful listening is vital to understanding the nature of each client’s legal concerns and fundamental to learning what each client hopes to achieve through the legal process. Many clients seek not only an advocate who can negotiate the system and who will work diligently to protect their legal interests, but also straightforward information as well, so they can make informed and responsible decisions. Meredith’s goal is to help clients obtain the best possible solution to their legal problems in the most efficient manner, whether in court, arbitration, mediation, or a negotiated settlement. In all endeavors, Meredith is committed to the highest ethical standards and professionalism.

Meredith joined the Bradley G. Davis Law Office in October 2013. She has over 15 years of civil litigation experience and has worked in both large and small firm settings first in San Francisco and currently in Seattle. She currently represents a wide variety of clients involved in personal injury, product liability, premises liability and employment matters. Meredith also has a background in residential real estate litigation and continues to represent buyers, sellers, and developers in residential real estate transactions, boundary disputes, and landlord-tenant matters. Meredith has successfully resolved innumerable cases through summary judgment and effective settlement negotiation, and has handled several cases through trial and
on appeal.

Meredith obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. She volunteers her time as a facilitative mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County, assisting clients with disputes involving family conflicts, landlord-tenant disputes, and various other business disputes. In addition, Meredith worked for the University of Washington School of Law for several years and was instrumental in developing and implementing the first incarnation of its Center for Public Interest Law. She is a member of the King County Bar Association and Washington State Bar Association.

In her free time, Meredith loves being outdoors and spends her time running, biking, hiking and gardening. She has spent hundreds of hours with her husband and three daughters sailing and exploring the beautiful San Juan and Gulf Islands.
